NOTES
Jesse Litsch bopped through the Jays clubhouse yesterday, bouncing a Baseball. Less than an hour later he was on the field, throwing for the first time since April 14, when a forearm strain put him on the 15-day disabled list. Just after the injury the Jays said Litsch wouldn't touch a Baseball for two weeks, but he has resumed throwing after only 11 days and assistant GM Alex Anthopoulos said Litsch might embark on a minor-league rehab assignment next week. Litsch is 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA in two starts this season.
Alex Rios entered last night's game with 18 hits, five of them in the Jays' final two games against the Texas Rangers. Manager Cito Gaston said Rios' improved hitting comes from a slight adjustment in his stance - Rios stands a little more upright now - and better timing.
