Running back Marion Barber may have aggravated his dislocated toe injury in the fourth quarter against the Giants. Barber had a key 9-yard run on third-and-3 with 4:20 remaining. Barber left for the locker room after Tashard Choice's 38-yard touchdown run.
"We don't know if it was a little bit of the scar tissue that was mending," Jones said. "We'll see. We really don't know how much of a setback it was."
Barber, who does not talk to reporters, finished with 2 yards on eight carries. He was on pace to finish with negative yardage for the second time in his career. Barber had minus-1 yard on two carries against New Orleans in 2006.

Defense remains stingy during first half
The Cowboys extended their streak of games without allowing a first-half touchdown to four games by limiting the Giants to a second-quarter field goal. Since Washington's Mike Sellers caught a 2-yard TD pass in the first quarter on Nov. 16, the Cowboys have allowed opponents just six field goals in 142 minutes, 38 seconds of first-half play.

New wrinkle for RB Choice: the screen pass
For years, the Cowboys have had problems developing a good screen pass. The offense may have discovered a new wrinkle using backup running back Tashard Choice.
On second-and-14, Choice picked up 22 yards in the second quarter. Two plays later, Tony Romo hit Patrick Crayton for a 34-yard touchdown. Choice then gained 16 yards on a screen pass to the left side in the final two minutes of the first half.
Choice finished with 52 yards receiving on four catches. He also rushed for 91 yards on nine carries, including the game-clinching 38-yard touchdown with 3:32 to play.

Ratliff flagged for horse collar tackle
Nose tackle Jay Ratliff was flagged for a horse collar tackle when he pulled Derrick Ward down from behind on the first play of the second half. The Cowboys were docked 14 yards, and Ratliff will likely be fined this week.
Personal fouls can be hazardous to a player's wallet. Safety Patrick Watkins said he was fined a total of $12,500 this season for two facemask penalties.

Rangers' Daniels drops in on NY brass
Texas Rangers general manager Jon Daniels, who grew up in New York, wanted to meet just one member of his boyhood favorite team on a visit to Texas Stadium on Sunday: Giants executive vice president and general manager Jerry Reese.
Reese, whose background is in scouting and development, oversaw the transformation of the Giants into Super Bowl champs in his first season.
"I really admire the way they've put their team together," Daniels said of the Giants. "There has been an obvious focus on building through the draft. ... I'm a fan, but it's also a good model for what we are trying to do in Arlington."

Ware moves closer to NFL sacks records
DeMarcus Ware's knee wasn't a big concern last week, and he showed why with two sacks in the first half against the Giants.
Ware flew past Giants tackle David Diehl and sacked Eli Manning for a 9-yard loss on the Cowboys' first defensive play. He also sacked Manning on first-and-10 from the Cowboys' 19-yard line. The drive ended with a field goal.
Ware has a franchise-record 19 sacks this season and 52 1/2 for his career. Michael Strahan holds the NFL record with 22 1/2 sacks in 2001.
