--SS Alexei Ramirez returned to the starting lineup on Saturday, following a two-game benching, but manager Ozzie Guillen continues lifting players in and out of the lineup as he looks for some sort of combination that he feels comfortable with. That also meant trying Scott Podsednik out in the leadoff role for the first time this season on Saturday, but switching back to Chris Getz on Sunday. Guillen has also moved a slumping Jim Thome down in the order, moving Jermaine Dye in the cleanup spot. "Every day we try anything," Guillen said. "To make a new lineup every day is kind of a tough situation."
--INF/OF Brent Lillibridge continued to cement himself as one of the odd-men out once CF Brian Anderson is ready to return from the disabled list as early as next week. The Sox acquired him with the hopes of getting him to get back to being a speed guy that hits the ball on the ground and uses his leg, but the knock on him in Atlanta's system last year was he moved away from that, instead trying to drive the ball. He had several talks, but his slumping .164 average is an obvious sign that it's not clicking in. The emergence of INF/OF Jayson Nix has also made Lillibridge expendable. MEDICAL WATCH:
CF Brian Anderson (sore right oblique) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 30. He could return after the minimum absence, but he is likely to have a rehab stint with Class AAA Charlotte first.
CF Dewayne Wise (separated right shoulder) went on the 15-day disabled list April 14. He hopes to be ready to start a rehab assignment in late May and return to the White Sox in early June.
