--OF Brian Anderson was expected to rejoin the team Toronto at some point during the four-game trip, but that talk has all but been silenced, as bench coach/acting manager Joey Cora said that the latest conversation he heard involved the injured outfielder (strained right oblique) continuing his rehab assignment in Class AAA Charlotte until Tuesday, when the Sox return to the South Side. The Sox are thin in the outfield these days, with Jermaine Dye still facing a possible suspension when his appeal his heard, as well as Carlos Quentin (left heel) battling an injury.
--Manager Ozzie Guillen was expected back into Toronto prior to Monday's series finale with the Blue Jays, after missing the last two games. Guillen flew back to Chicago Saturday morning to attend the college graduation of his eldest son, Ozzie Jr. "He might be too emotional to watch his son walk down the aisle and getting his diploma after a bunch of years, going to school," Cora joked. "Seriously, he should be here tomorrow morning. He has a 6 a.m. flight. He'll be here." Cora did say that he spoke to Guillen following Saturday's heartbreaking 2-1 loss, but when asked what Guillen told him, Cora replied, "I don't think we can say that here." MEDICAL WATCH:
RHP Bartolo Colon (stomach ailment) left his May 16 start, but he said the problem was minor.
LF Carlos Quentin (sore left heel) did not play May 12. He entered the May 13 game as a sub, and he played May 15. He was scratched from the lineup May 16.
CF Brian Anderson (sore right oblique) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 30. He began a rehab assignment with Class AAA Charlotte on May 13.
CF Dewayne Wise (separated right shoulder) went on the 15-day disabled list April 14. He hopes to be ready to start a rehab assignment in late May and return to the White Sox in early June.
