White Sox beat the Mariners 15-5 on Sunday.
It's the first time Contreras has pitched in a game since rupturing his Achilles tendon last August.
"I feel good and strong," Contreras said, speaking without an interpreter. "It wasn't a surprise for me. I've been working hard for the last seven months, you know? I feel good."
Wilson Betemit, Josh Kroeger and Brandon Allen all homered and Carlos Quentin drove in four runs for the White Sox, who have won three straight for the first time this spring.
Chicago scored nine runs in the second inning to break the game open, taking advantage of five walks by Mariners starter Garrett Olson.
Contreras struck out Seattle leadoff hitter Chris Woodward and got Ken Griffey Jr. looking. After giving up a leadoff single to Adrian Beltre in the second, Contreras fanned Russell Branyan and Mike Morse before getting Prentice Redman to ground out to end the inning.
Beltre, who took second on a passed ball, was the only Seattle runner to get past first against Contreras.
"He should be fresh," Chicago manager Ozzie Guillen said of Contreras. "He was throwing 93, 94, caught a couple corners. His arm is in as great shape as it can be."
Branyan homered twice and Morse hit his first home run of the spring for Seattle but the Mariners couldn't muster much else against the White Sox.
Seattle didn't get much help from its pitching staff, either. A day after being chastised by manager Don Wakamatsu for giving up too many walks, seven Mariners pitchers combined for eight walks against Chicago while the defense committed four errors.
Olson (0-2) gave up seven runs in only 1 2-3 innings.
"I didn't see a whole lot of anything today really," said Wakamatsu, whose team has dropped six of its last seven games. "You talk about Olson, you talk about pressure situations or competing for a starting job and I thought it got the better of him today."
After sailing through the first inning with two strikeouts, Contreras had to wait through a long second inning when the White Sox batted around and scored nine runs. Pierzynski had a two-run single and Quentin added a two-run triple off Olson before Betemit's two-run homer off reliever Marwin Vega capped the inning.
It was Betemit's fourth homer of the spring, tops in the Cactus League.
The White Sox have kept Contreras on a controlled schedule this spring in hopes of avoiding a setback. He threw 50 pitches in batting practice on Thursday then started against Seattle.
Asked if he would be ready by April 10 when his spot in the rotation comes up, Contreras smiled.
"I'm ready," he said. "I'm ready right now."
Griffey went 1-for-3 to raise his spring average to .182.
Griffey, who played in 41 games for the White Sox last year after being traded from Cincinnati, left the game after the sixth inning and stopped by Chicago's dugout to hug Guillen and a few others before walking off the field.
Notes:White Sox DH Jim Thome, who has been bothered by tightness in his lower back, took batting practice at team's spring training complex but did not accompany Chicago to the game against Seattle. ... RHP Bartolo Colon, trying to come back from offseason surgery to remove bone chips in his right elbow, is scheduled to make his Cactus League debut Monday against Kansas City. ... Before the game Seattle placed LHP Ryan Feierabend on the 60-day disabled list and claimed RHP Jesus Delgado off waivers from Florida. Delgado, 24, made his major league debut with Florida in 2008, pitching in two games with a 4.50 ERA.
