Lapithae Definition

An ancient Greek tribe of men who were fighting alongside the gods against the centaurs in the legendary battle of Lapiths and Centaurs. It later came to refer to any group or individual who is fiercely loyal and protective of their homeland or community against encroachments or invaders.
