A term sometimes used to refer to an obsolete South African currency, the transvaal pound, which was in use in the Transvaal from 1857 to 1902. It can also refer to a person or item associated with Transvaal, a former province of South Africa, now part of Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West, and Gauteng provinces.
